Matt has over 20 years’ experience as an employment lawyer and has recently joined Moorcrofts as an Employment Partner.
Matt regularly advises employers and senior executives across a broad range of employment law matters including drafting employment contracts, employment policies and procedures, day-to-day HR/employment law support, advising on business reorganisations, transfer of undertakings (TUPE), termination arrangements and settlement agreements and employment tribunal claims including complex multi-day discrimination claims. Matt also provides regular training to clients on a broad range of employment law topics.
Matt’s specialties include advising clients across a broad range of sectors on protecting their business from the activities of ex-employees. This includes drafting restrictive covenants/ post termination restrictions, ensuring the employment policies support the restrictions, providing practical advice to deal with immediate aftermath of a departing employee including team moves, obtaining injunctions to prevent breach of restrictions, and securing damages for breach of restrictions.
